Technical Description

Promeco Eco Centrifuge is specifically designed for the separation of water from plastic.

Input material is loaded into a small feeding bunker, where a screw doses and introduces the material in the rotary drier basket.

The basket rotates at a very high speed. Due to the centrifugal force exerted on the material, this is propelled towards the internal surface of the basket and is dewatered. The water is then collected at the bottom of the machine.

A screw inside the basket allows for the advancement of the material and the continuous cleaning of the internal surface of basket; more over it  continuously mixed the material, this optimizing the  efficiency of the process.

The entire structure has been designed to operate under heavy loads, and this requirement determined the considerable strength and solidity of all the components, starting from the housing.

Dried plastic is conveyed by a pneumatic transport system (such as fan-through).

The forces are balanced and only the static weight of the machine is downloaded to the housing; the machine must be placed on a suitable floor.

A system continuously spraying oil ensures the automatic lubrication of the bearings, thus reducing the time required for maintenance.

The speed of the main motor and of the two augers are adjustable, allowing for the optimization of the capacity of the machine according to the type of material to process and the dewatering level to be reached.

All the equipments are controlled by an electrical control panel, giving the possibility to operate the machine either automatically or manually.

Machine description
  • Feeding hopper - entirely made in steel, the feeding is operated by a screw, whose speed (rpm) is controlled through the motor 3 kW inverter. A gauge helps to handle the filling of the hopper.
  • rotating basket - Made of steel with holes depending on the type of material is supported by a robust housing
  • Housing Made of thick steel, it  makes the machine very sturdy and dynamically stable
  • Base – robust structure supporting the machine
  • Bearing lubrication unit - Allows the automatic lubrication of the bearings continuously and automatically, in order to maximize lifetime and reduce maintenance.  An air compressor is needed for spraying oil (5-8 bar pressure of approximately 25 l)
  • Main motor – Pulley driven motor and belts tensioning device
  • Material outlet
  • Water drainage
  • Motor of the screw  that by scraping, ensures the cleaning of the basket
  • Control panel – this PLC based system allows to control of the machine. The main electrical panel is composed of: fuses, transformers, ventilation, voltmeters and ammeters, switches, inverter for main engine and screw conveyors, safety equipment.
